In starting my business I put together my success tool kit. One of the key components was to align myself with a credible organization. I knew I had to build and nurture a solid network of like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners in my immediate community and beyond. Becoming a member of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce provided me with this key component and much, much more. In 2014 my company was endorsed by the Chamber for the AABE award which was a true honor and humbling to receive. I am Erin D. Wikstrom with Doepel Retirement Planning Group of Raymond James. We help people overcome obstacles and live lives that are truly fulfilling by using investment vehicles, financial planning, and ongoing accountability. I am the Chair of Naperville Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business, and we’ve had the joy of partnering with QCAACC on a number of events over the past two years. The Chamber of Commerce has served as an extraordinary catalyst for my practice. I’ve made valuable connections and deepened my relationship with my community. It has also provided me the opportunity to expand my network by involving collaborative chambers, like QCAACC.
