Member Testimonials

I am Erin D. Wikstrom with Doepel Retirement Planning Group of Raymond James. We help people overcome obstacles and live lives that are truly fulfilling by using investment vehicles, financial planning, and ongoing accountability. I am the Chair of Naperville Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Business, and we’ve had the joy of partnering with QCAACC on a number of events over the past two years. The Chamber of Commerce has served as an extraordinary catalyst for my practice. I’ve made valuable connections and deepened my relationship with my community. It has also provided me the opportunity to expand my network by involving collaborative chambers, like QCAACC.

In starting my business I put together my success tool kit. One of the key components was to align myself with a credible organization. I knew I had to build and nurture a solid network of like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners in my immediate community and beyond. Becoming a member of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce provided me with this key component and much, much more. In 2014 my company was endorsed by the Chamber for the AABE award which was a true honor and humbling to receive. It renewed my faith in the services I still provide today and reaffirmed that my small business is having an impact in the community. With strong leadership and the undying desire to help the businesses in the quad area reach their goals, it continues to build my confidence that I made the right decision in becoming a member of this Chamber.

I joined QCAAC in March of 2014 after attending the jazz brunch as a guest and I am so glad that I joined! The relationships I have gained by being a member of QCAAC have been immeasurable. Those relationships have turned into clients as well as friends. I sincerely appreciate all of the support I have received from QCAAC in growing my business and network. I believe in the chamber and how essential being a member is for business development and growth. I have referred other business owners to the chamber who are also just as pleased. Thank you QCAAC for all that you do in supporting business owners like myself!

My experience has been that the most successful companies invest in there people with a major emphasis on training and development. As a small business owner I did not always have access to these resources and this lack of exposure can have a negative impact on a growing small business. The Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce (QCAACC) is a resource for my business.
